I cannot believe the way things are going with HDB's new policies! FOr starters pte property owners buying HDB is not a new thing and up to 4 years ago just as the property market started to upswing, there was no problem with the property prices. so obviously pte / HDB owners don't seem to be...

yes yes of course, lets stop all this rental nonsense. lets squeeze out all the citizens who are renting flats out. This will allow HDB via EM Services to thrive in the rental of flats that were bought back during SERS

I see where you are coming from and yes Amy Khor sounded absolutlely stupid by saying the barrage 'helped' us because by nature of a dam... it just holds water in.. HDB 101 : What the PAP don't want you to know.

Good write up. I personally use my CPF to fund my home because i've actually written it off. My prediction is that its actually going to get harder and harder to 'withdraw' the money come retirement so i think of my 20% contribution as some kind of tax that i will never see again.

Re: OCBC 'did its duty' you know what i think is sad... that you are in your 90's and you still have 8-9 mil in the bank... if i was hitting 90 i would have tried my best to draw down at least 5 mil of it, if not more on wine women and song...

You'd take the Sadao border crossing to Thailand... do note its a mess at the customs. expect to park the car, come out, clear immigration, then clear customs (remove all bags from car for checking) then do temporary importation papers into thailand. its total chaos, but ppl very helpful and...
