Notice the absence of the "TALENT" word - the sugar coating has been taken away and replaced with "highly educated" migrants. Please define "highly educated". I met some truly bright Singapore brains living and working overseas. It does seem to me that we have done an Aladdin lamp exchange - bright gems with dull stones. Instead of levelling up, we have in the past decade levelled down with the influx of all and sundry. There are foreigners here, taking up jobs which Singaporeans shun, and those which Singaporeans would and could do.

The Hindu Endowments Board (HEB) was formed in 1968 to manage the 4 major Hindu temples transferred from the Mohammedan and Hindu Endowments Board (MHEB). The MHEB was formed in 1907 by the Colonial Government in early Singapore to overcome shortcomings in the management of Hindu and Muslim religious entities.
HEB is involved in community projects and organize major Hindu festivals like Thaipusam and Deepavali.
Please. Don't negate the contrbutions of the local community and the Colonial Government.

Faced with a potential voter backlash in the next election over its ill-thought immigration policies, PAP leaders have been busy doing damage control via the state media of late.
During a speech made at the Indian New Year celebrations in Little India, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew claimed that the government “understands” the concerns of Singaporeans over new immigrants and foreign workers and has taken steps to “moderate” the inflow and to widen the “differentiation” between citizens and non-citizens.
The PAP has made some cosmetic changes to its pro-foreigner policies in recent weeks to placate fast rising public disgruntlement and anger against it.
However, these changes are superficial at best. For example, new citizens are still exempted from National Service, Singapore PRs can purchase resale HDB flats and there is no minimal period of residency required for prospective immigrants.
Singapore has one of the most lax immigration policies in the world with PRs and citizenships given to cleaners, construction workers, masseurs and even freelance prostitutes, a point acknowledged tacitly by Lee himself when he reiterated the need for Singapore to attract more educated immigrants.
“We benefited from being open to immigrants from around the world, especially China, India and the region. Throughout history, Singapore has welcomed migrants. When I first took office, we had 62,000 babies every year from a population of 2 million. Today, Singapore citizens produce only 32,000 babies in a year when we should have 60,000 just to replace our population,” he was quoted as saying in Channel News Asia.
Despite Singapore’s high GDP per capita, it has encountered difficulties attracting educated immigrants due to a variety of factors such as a low standard of living, lack of social welfare benefits and political repression under a dictatorial regime.
Singapore was ranked only as the 53th most livable country in the world by the authoritative Economist Unit, behind the likes of Croatia, Slovenia and Romania.
International NGO Human Rights Watch described Singapore as a “textbook example of a politically repressive state” in its latest annual report this year.
According to a Gallup poll done in July last year among China’s college students, their top three immigration destinations are United States, France and South Korea. Singapore was not even featured among the top five.

It is not just the immigration policy.
It is the losses of CPF.
It is the losses of SWFs.
It is PAP HDB policy.
It is the PAP-Private sector collusion to increase prices everywhere to cover those losses.
It is about Lee hold on SWFs which caused the losses by being complacent and ignorant and thus abused our collective savings.
It is about making it impossible to be a citizen in a impossible taxation environment.
It is simply about PAP and they must go!

Certainly not the Parents whose children are denied entry to the schools of their Choice
Certainly not the Young citizens who find out to their dismay that up to 30% of their University Places are given to Foreigners and to add insult to injury as many as 15% of all University Students are foreigners on "Scholarship"
Certainly not citizens who have to travel 3hous a day because they are not allowed the Hostels which were allocated for the Foreigners.
Certainly not the citizens who have to fight with foreigners for MRT seats and Bus seats
Certainy not citizens who find that 30% of Patients in the Polyclinic are foriegners.
The "WE" I suppose only covers the highest paid politicians in the World and the top civil servants who go for French Cooking Classes.

Plus their operating expenses of $33billion a year.
Just to break even they would have to show a net income of $45billion )assuming they do not pay income tax.
How on earth are they going to recoup the loss of $130billion anytime?
