I wish it is possible, but now Taiwan does not have adequate number of soldiers to do a "takeover" and US is not going to support ROC. Only hope is for Taiwan to be truly independent for now. Nevertheless, I still believe that ROC is the last bastion of true Chinese values.

Credits to Deng for being more open-minded even though as you said, it is a no-brainer. If it is someone who is like-minded like Mao, I doubt it will ever materialize. Deng injected the nation back to life and his policies are the reason why China is not in the same state as Africa. Same reason why China is having economic growth now, thanks to his groundwork.

Mao Zedong's portrait should have been torn down from the Square and replaced with Deng Xiaoping.
